These rolls are manufactured at the Wakamatsu Works, whose roots extend back to the purchase of Teikoku Foundry in 1917 by Tobata Foundry Co., the precursor to Hitachi Metals. The Wakamatsu Works has since gone on to establish world class technologies. Today, its unsurpassed metallurgical technologies are put to use in a wide variety of products, including construction materials, industrial machinery components, and ceramics and electronics products.
